The First Responder Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) certification test has two sections called psychomotor exam and cognitive exam. The EMR course should meet the standards of the US Department of Transportation National Standard Curriculum. For the EMR test to be taken, the candidate should have completed the course in a span of 2 years before taking the test.
