Google Pixel has finally unveiled their latest editions in their arsenal of smartphones—the Google Pixel 3 and Google Pixel 3 XL. They have also jumped back into the tablet arena after a long hiatus (remember Nexus 9 and Pixel C?) by launching their first Chrome OS tablet—the Pixel Slate. So, without further ado, let us take a glance at these new launches and their notable features, technical aspects, and much more.

Google Pixel 3 – Retaining the two-tone design like that of its predecessors, the back of the Pixel 3 has a shiny glossy finish covering the top portion just above the fingerprint sensor and the remaining part has a matte finish. The entire back and the front portion of the phone uses Corning Gorilla Glass 5. With a screen size of 5.5-inch, the phone measures 145.6 x 68.2 x 7.9mm and weighs 148 grams, which is roughly the same size and weight as the Pixel 2. The screen looks richer and has a display resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels with 443 PPI. The bezel is noticeably less due to the 18:9 aspect ratio. The highlight of the phone lies in its camera. A dedicated chipset gives the Pixel 3’s camera the wow factor. The 12.2MP lens, when combined with Night Time modes, gives clearer and crisper photos even in low-light when compared with both, its predecessors and competitors.

It houses a 2915 mAh battery which and runs on the latest Android version—Android 9.0 Pie. The users of the phone will also certainly benefit from the new 18W wireless charger. The Pixel 3 is powered by Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor and has a 4GB RAM. It is believed that the phone should perform smoother since Google owns the software and hardware of its products.

Google Pixel 3 XL – The phone looks quite similar to its predecessor—the Pixel 2 XL. The search giants decided to go with subtle changes rather than completely reimagined tweaks. The phone has a longer 6.3-inch OLED display with HDR support. It has an 18:9 aspect ratio with 1440 x 2960 QHD resolution. It has the same technical features as that of Pixel 3. What’s different is the battery size and some additional features present in the camera. The Pixel 3 XL houses a bigger, more powerful 3430 mAh battery with an improved performance, thanks to the new OS—Android 9.0 Pie. The Top Shot is the Pixel 3 XL camera’s new feature that uses AI to capture multiple pictures and picks out the best one for you. The front camera boasts an 8MP wide-angle lens that is suitable for group selfies.

While the 64GB variant of the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL is priced at around $799 and $899 respectively, you may have to shell out around $899 and $999 for the same, if you fancy a 128GB storage variant. Both the phones can be preordered from the official website, which would then be shipped by around October 18, 2018. You can also purchase them from Verizon, BestBuy, and Target.

Google Pixel Slate – The search giant is ready to get back into the tablets with their all-new Pixel Slate. The tablet has a dimension of 7.0mm x 290.85mm x 202.04mm and weighs a mere 1.6lbs. The 12.3-inch screen is surrounded by slim bezels. The 2000 x 3000-pixel resolution screen gives crisper images and wide viewing angles.

It has a battery size of 48WHr which lets you use the tablet uninterrupted for at least 10 hours. The Pixel Slate comes with 8 th generation Intel® Core™ m3, i5, i7, or Celeron options. It comes with three RAM options as well—4GB, 8GB, and 16GB and in four storage variants of 32GB, 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB.It has two USB-C ports and a keyboard connector. Both the front and rear facing cameras are of 8MP. The power button houses a “pixel imprint” fingerprint sensor to keep your tablet safe and secure. The 4GB RAM, 32GB SSD tablet is priced at around $599; 8GB RAM, 64GB SSD is priced at around $699; the 8GB RAM, 64GB and 128GB SSD tablets are priced at around $799 and $999 respectively; and the topmost version of the tablet with 16GB RAM and 256GB SSD is priced at around $1599.

Google Home Hub – As a bonus, Google launched its smart device revamped with a screen. From reminding its user about their upcoming appointments to informing the current temperature of your area, Google Home Hub can help its users with almost every daily task. The smart device runs on Android Things OS and has a 7-inch HD display buttressed with prominent bezels. It has a 15W power adapter as well. It is available in Chalk, Charcoal, Aqua, and Sand colored variants. You can pre-order the Google Home Hub form its official website for around $149 and it will be shipped from October 22, 2018.
