Evolution Of The Miracle Ear Hearing Aids
Miracle Ear started as one single hearing aid back in 1948 by Dahlberg Electronics. The man behind this idea was the founder of Dahlberg Electronics, i.e., Kenneth Dahlberg. Before stepping into the market of hearing aids, the company used to manufacture pillow radios for hospitals.
Since then the Dahlberg Electronics have pioneered various hearing aid innovations.
Miracle Ear also introduced D-14 solar ear eyeglasses hearing aid which ran on solar power. In 1962, they pioneered the first hearing aid that implemented integrated circuitry. In 1971, the company developed an ultra-low circuit technology, which was the first of its kind.
In the late 80s, they launched the Miracle Ear Dolphin, the first programmable hearing aid in the healthcare market. By 1997, the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) confirmed the claim that Miracle Ear hearing aids improve hearing abilities even in the presence of background noise.
The very next year, i.e., in 1998 the company presented an exclusive technology that allowed the doctors to customize hearing aids according to patient’s profile. In 2003, the company adopted a completely different approach towards hearing aids, and all the hearing aid products went digital from analog.
In the past decade, the Miracle Ear Hearing aid has achieved various milestones. For instance, they brought out the creative Open Fit design. In 2011, they managed to develop a hearing aid that was waterproof as well as dust and shock resistant. In that very year, the company also produced an invisible completely-in-the-ear-canal hearing aid product known as the Mirage.
During the recent years, Miracle Ear launched a new technology known as ClearVation that learns the user’s choices and automatically transports appropriate amplification levels.
