Eligibility criteria for getting into free preschools in Austin

In Austin, people give utmost importance to growing children and their families. They have curriculums designed by experienced teachers having success in their mind who give the children all the required skills they need in any particular section. The whole family is supported by documents so that they can be a part of the learning process and that they can grow together, inspire one another and love each other through learning.

Eligibility criteria for getting into free preschools in Austin
If a district identifies at least 15 eligible students under the age of four, they should start a preschool. Free preschools in Austin take up a three-year program for eligible children and the criterions would be:

  • Ability to speak and understand English.
  • Have one member educationally disadvantaged for a free preschool in Austin.
  • As defined by the United States Code Section 1143a, be homeless. The child’s parents or guardians or even the children themselves should not be having a shelter in order to be eligible.
  • Being the child of an active armed duty of the nation, be it state military force or a reserved member.
  • Family code Section 262.201 which says being under the conservatorship of Department of Family and Protective services DFPS.
  • Being the child of a firefighter, police officer or anybody who has received the Heroes Award among the said categories makes a kid eligible for free preschool in Austin.
  • Children who are under foster care or homeless can qualify for free preschool in Austin.
  • Children of Child of Star Texas Award holders are eligible for free preschools in Austin. Even the parents who have been honored can enroll their children in a free preschool. If they are not considered at any preschool, they can request to the office of Early Childhood Education for a selection as the parent has been nominated for the award.

The documentation to admit one’s child into free preschools in Austin is double-checked before they are allowed. There is a photo identification procedure for children of active military duty service officials. The document has to contain their printed name, date and signature of the admitted. Once the student has been issued this ID, the document would be filed to a district verification. The document should also have the name, signature, date, and seal of the DOD issuer who verified the family for the eligibility into free preschool in Austin.
