An overview of new supercars
The term supercar was coined by automakers for cars that are unusual, expensive and perform better than an ordinary car. It has different meanings depending on its usage. There is no firm definition. Having said that, the supercars have certain inviolate criteria of being factory-made, normally unmodified, and street legal.
Bugatti Chiron
The 2018 Bugatti Chiron has been improved upon from the previous model. The designers have worked the new model and made it the fastest supercar and have a much higher performance. It boasts a quad-turbocharged W16 engine generating a phenomenal 1500 HP, accelerating from 0 to 60 in 2.5 seconds, and is expected to cost $2.6 million
Bugatti Veyron
The 2018 Bugatti Veyron is a rejuvenation of the old and discontinued Bugatti of 2015. It is expected to be one of the most lavishly furnished affairs with calf-skin trims, a high-end stereo, an infotainment system, and a high-end ventilation system. Its quad-turbocharged 8-liter V16 1,000 HP engine will drive to a top speed of 250mph. A new, manual, double grasp, seven-speed, four-wheel-drive model of this supercar is expected, which would cost around $1.3 million.
McLaren 650S
The 2018 McLaren 65S is said to have a LED headlights, sharper form and an overall sleek design that appears more like a racing car. It appeared to be on the unfinished side and looked to be more aerodynamic and is said to have used mono cell carbon fiber tub technology with radical aerodynamic features. The onboard tech is expected to include an intuitive control system too. A twin-turbocharged 3.8 L, V8 engine churns out 700 HP will power it. It is expected to cost $300,000.
Rezvani Beast Alpha BlackBird
This car is made by a California car maker Ferris Ravani and a new addition to the “Beast” line of supercars. Alpha BlackBird, the latest beast is inspired by the spy plane SR 7. Has ‘Side Winder’ doors and a removable hardtop and many high tech gadgets. It has a 2.5-liter turbocharged rear-mounted 4-cylinder engine developing 700HP. It accelerates from 0 to 60 in 2.9 seconds and costs about $225,000.
Lamborghini Aventador
The 2018 Lamborghini Aventador Roadster is believed to be powered by a 710hp 6.5 L, V12 engine. The independent shifting rod or ISR is expected to be the transmission of choice. It would have a three tipped exhaust system and there are more air vents and diffusers. The interior is expected to have updated technology. However, there is not much information leaked out
