    1. A week before exam, make sure you have completed at least 2 full practice papers. Review and read about the commonly asked topics in the Reading and Writing sections. You can find a number of websites that offer free model tests that you can practice.
    2. For the day of exam, eat and sleep well before you go to take the test. Wear comfortable clothes while taking the exam. Make sure you carry an extra piece of clothing in case you feel cold inside the examination hall. Also, keep yourself calm and go inside the examination hall with a clear mind.
    3. Listening Tips – Make sure the headphones are working properly and you tell them beforehand if you need them to be changed. Thoroughly read the questions before the recording starts, this helps you to answer question quickly. You can write your answers on a sheet of paper and we recommend you to answer all the questions in capital letters.
    4. Reading Tips – Read the instructions carefully and stick to the time you have assigned to each section. There is no time for rough work in reading sections so make sure you answer directly into the question paper. Always read the questions first and then read the passage, as we have to look for answers and not understand the passage.
    5. Writing Tips – Stick to the word limit and try to spend not more than 20 minutes on the Writing Task 1. For the Writing Task 2, it is advisable that you plan out your essay. You will not have a spare sheet for the planning so sketch it in your mind before you start writing. Re-read your letter and essay and look out for grammatical errors, missing punctuations and spelling errors. You are allowed to ask for supplementary sheets incase you run out of them.
    6. Speaking Tips- Listen to the question carefully and answer it with confidence. Do not repeat the question after examiner as it reflects your fear and nervousness. It is advisable to use a range of tenses to answer question. Vocabulary has 25% weightage of your total score so make sure you brush up your vocabulary before appearing for the exam.
